Bandit was founded in June 2024 by a group of Cal Poly business students with a vision to make a positive impact. Inspired by Cal Poly’s entrepreneurial spirit, we partner with local businesses to offer affordable rides for students while providing unique advertising opportunities. Rooted in Cal Poly’s learn-by-doing ethos, Bandit is committed to safety, sustainability, and the well-being of our community. Our mission is personal, inspired by the loss of a high school friend to drunk driving, which fuels our passion for creating a positive change. We believe there is a growing need for safer, more affordable, and reliable ways for students to get around San Luis Obispo, especially during nights out and special events.
